I don't think I'll ever drink again...

Thu Sep 17, 2009, 2:33 PM
...even if it kills me. No way.

I drank a cockroach. Oh, I spit it right out, but it was disgusting. *shudders* Truly disgusting. There are places you just don't expect to see a roach, but a glass of water is just over the top. In case anyone is wondering how a cockroach got into my glass of water, I was standing in my front door and it probably fell from above. Currently, I am not above believing it actually did fall from the skies.

I respect roaches. Quiet little creatures, feeding off our trash yet stronger than any of us. But I might just change my opinion from now on.

I can't believe I was mourning the loss of summer while observing the night sky just moments ago. Even having the autumn blues is better than a cockroach in your mouth.

Thanks for the favorite, Maya!
How've you been doing?

To tell you the truth, busy. I'm writing a thesis on Victorian Literature and it's taking up most of my time. Add in that I have 7 two-and-a-half hour lectures a week, I'm pretty much dead tired.

You?

Victorian Literature? Awesome!
Are you focusing into a particular book?

That's not cool x_x

One week ago, I finished Uni for this year, and today I began working for two months... so, no vacations at all u_u

Well, I'm focusing on Jane Eyre, mostly because it's so well known and has tons of references to insanity and illness. My thesis is on the psychology of the Victorians and how illnesses and insanity were represented in the books, as well as how it affects the narrator. So you can see why Eyre would be the focus for it.

No vacations? Not even for Christmas hols? Man. I'm hoping I can squeeze in a day or two of fun and relaxation. Hopefully, you can too.

So, what kind of work do you do?

These violent delights have violent ends, and in their triumph die like fire and powder, which as they kiss consume ~ William Shakespeare.
